These roles have a broad remit and we’re looking for highly capable corporate managers. Both roles would suit someone who is looking to extend their experience in delivering a range of high-quality frontline services - who can offer sound professional advice to elected members and colleagues and who inspires their team in pursuit of continued improvement to shape a modern and efficient service. There’s plenty going on in our district: major regeneration projects; meeting the growing demand for housing and ambitious environmental targets; a lively festival scene. So, there is plenty for you to get involved in - all set within the context of a place that’s world famous for its heritage and history. Our residents are rightly protective of the unique character of our district and committed stakeholder engagement will be central to success in this role. Our Corporate Head of Place is responsible for: Waste management Car park management Grounds maintenance Winchester movement strategy and associated services Special maintenance Our Corporate Head of Planning & Regulatory Services is responsible for: Development Management, including planning, planning enforcement, and protecting our historical buildings across the district Licensing Public Protection Building Control You will need to be a member of the Royal Town Planning Institute. For each of these roles, your experience and knowledge should be supported by a highly accomplished management style. You’ll be able to engage, advise and influence in a political setting, and in key partnerships. You’ll being a positive mindset to complex and emotive projects, working with others to arrive at the right solution for our district.
