About this opportunity:
We're seeking a dynamic and experienced Tech Lead to join our cross-functional content, design & marketing teams within the Personalised Experiences and Communication Platform. This role is crucial in driving technical excellence and innovation within our content and marketing functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, SaaS product management, and a deep understanding of content management and creation tools such as Adobe AEM, Adobe Workfront and Figma.
What you’ll do:
* Technical Leadership: Lead the engineering team in the design, development, and implementation of content and marketing technology solutions.
* SaaS Product Management: Oversee the integration, customization, and optimization of SaaS products like Adobe AEM, Workfront and Figma to enhance content and marketing workflows.
* In-House Engineering: Manage in-house software development products to build solutions that complement existing SaaS tools. Support teams in designing, developing, testing and deploying and maintaining high-quality and highly available applications that can leverage AI to provide improved efficiency and personalised experiences for our twenty-six million customers and users.
* Innovation: Drive innovation by exploring new technologies and methodologies to improve content and marketing efficiency and effectiveness. Foster a culture of innovation to ensure we deliver high quality services, maximise value of our investments and use technology to solve problems in new ways.
* Team Development: Mentor and develop engineering team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement, inclusivity and diversity.
* Stakeholder Communication & Collaboration: Communicate technical concepts and roadmap status to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment. Work closely with marketing, design, content, product, and IT teams to align technical solutions with business goals.
* Application Management: Manage technology budgets, resources and allocating them efficiently across products and services. Take ownership and accountability for delivery, operations risk management and total cost of services.
What you’ll need:
* Strong leadership, management, and mentoring skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and empower the software engineering team.
* Proven experience in SaaS marketing and content products such as Adobe AEM, Workfront, and Figma.
* Experience integrating multiple SaaS products with a strong focus on automation where possible.
* Strong knowledge of AI & ML capabilities within SaaS.
* Hands-on proven experience of systems design, software development, testing, monitoring, and operational stability.
* Proven experience and knowledge of automation and CI/CD.
* Best practice coding/scripting experience developed in a commercial/industry setting (Python, SQL, Java, Scala or Go).
* Practical experience of Cloud native solutions.
* Good understanding of cloud storage, networking, and resource provisioning.
* You'll have the strategic vision and tenacity to own the technical and organisational changes required to embed a successful modern engineering culture of continuous integration, automation, continuous delivery with DevOps practices.
