Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and committed Science Teacher to join our SEMH team. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and tailored science lessons that meet the unique needs of students with SEMH challenges. Your role will involve planning, assessing, and supporting the development of students’ academic progress in science, while also fostering a positive, supportive classroom environment. Key Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality science lessons that are adapted to the learning needs of students with SEMH. Develop individualized learning plans that incorporate emotional and behavioral support. Foster a calm, structured, and positive classroom environment to encourage engagement and participation. Monitor and assess students’ progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and colleagues. Collaborate with the SENCO, pastoral team, and other professionals to ensure students’ holistic development. Support the social and emotional development of students, using appropriate strategies and interventions. Maintain effective communication with students, parents, and staff to promote positive outcomes. Key Skills and Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Mandortry requirement ( can be in another field if revent experince can be proven ) Experience teaching science at Key Stage 3 and 4. Experience working with students with SEMH needs is highly desirable. Strong understanding of behavior management strategies and emotional support techniques. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to teaching and supporting students. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
