The key responsibilities and duties of the Trainee Build Technician include, but are not limited to:
1. Assembly of mechanical components and installation of hydraulic and electrical systems to aircraft undercarriages
2. Compliance with OEM, legislative, and industry requirements for quality structural aircraft products
3. Management of consumable items and quality infrastructure
4. Inspection and duplicate inspection of completed assemblies
5. Liaison with associated departments and precise work scheduling
6. Compliance with safety and environmental regulations
7. AOG/On Wing support if required
8. Individual and team-based work to meet tight deadlines
9. Maintenance of Practical Experience Record (PER) book
10. Potential training of personnel based on qualifications and experience
The ideal Trainee Build Technician should meet the following requirements:
11. Ideally applicants will have served an Aircraft related apprenticeship or equivalent with experience in a similar service industry
12. Emphasis placed upon those applicants that have served within an EASA/FAA approved organization
13. Experience of Assembly of components
14. Extensive amount of experience working in an Airline/ Aerospace related environment
15. Able to demonstrate a detailed knowledge of the legislative and quality system requirements
16. Good understanding of excel and word
17. Knowledge of company health and safety practices
18. Evidence of people management skills
19. Good communicator - ability to communicate with staff on business and other issues
20. Assist in resolving issues that may affect delivery of gears and struts on time
21. Must be willing to work shifts
