UX Designer (Email and CRO)
Location: Head Office, Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire (Hybrid Working)
Contract type: Permanent
Hours: 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum DOE

We are seeking a talented UX Designer to work as part of our Marketing and Ecommerce teams. You will be responsible for UX design and testing, conversion rate optimisation (CRO), and continuous improvement to our customer journey communications sent via our CRM. You need to be passionate about continuous improvement and customer experience, a team player, able to multi-task, have an analytical mindset, and be willing to learn new skills.
Your key areas of focus:
1. Ensure all designs are optimised for mobile and fast load times.
2. Design amazing user experiences online and across all digital touchpoints.
3. Improve the customer experience through test and learn strategies.
4. Implement design systems and maintain a clear visual hierarchy.
5. Work alongside copywriters to create cohesive, persuasive messaging and visual content.
6. Take ownership of the design lifecycle, ensuring pixel-perfect accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
What our Shoal needs:
1. Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in UX, from wireframes to polished high-fidelity prototypes.
2. Experience analysing data results to derive learnings/insights.
3. UI/UX Skills: Deep understanding of user flow, visual hierarchy, and mobile-first design.
4. Graphic Design Skills: Strong graphic design background with the ability to create visually appealing and conversion-focused designs & images.
5. Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with marketers, developers, and ecommerce.
6. Detail-Oriented: An eye for detail, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and alignment in all design elements.
7. Self-Starter: Problem-solving and overcoming challenges.
8. Ability to multi-task and run multiple projects simultaneously while delivering high-quality work on deadline.

10. Coding: Familiarity with basic HTML/CSS and an understanding of the development process to ensure designs are feasible and optimised for the web.
11. Experience using Monetate or similar tools (HotJar, etc.) for CRO.
12. Experience using Bloomreach or other similar tools (Salesforce Marketing Cloud, etc.) for CRM.
13. Experience using project management planning tools (e.g., Jira/Air-table) for task management.
