Summary:
Network Aviation Group heads up a group of two dozen wholly owned and inter-related aviation businesses. Originally formed in 1985, the Network Aviation Group now spans five continents. We offer a variety of sales and services to client airlines, as well as managing a fleet of freighter aircraft on a network of scheduled routes and charters throughout the world.
The Role:
The Business Development Manager is a critical role in how we identify and seize growth opportunities, expanding client bases and supporting how we drive revenue growth. The role holder will work closely with senior management and peers to prepare tender documents and contracts, collect and analyse relevant market data, and process and transform it into meaningful data to enable data-driven decision-making to maximise business and commercial opportunities. The role holder will also manage the opportunity pipeline for the group and support business managers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work with a high degree of autonomy to identify and target growth opportunities.
* Together with the CEO and Senior Management, agree who to target and focus on regarding potential client opportunities.
* Work closely with senior management and peers to prepare tender documents, GSA (General Sales Agent) and other business-related agreements and contracts.
* Collect and analyse market data to identify trends and potential business/commercial opportunities.
* Transform data and insights into meaningful and actionable insights to enable storytelling such as data dashboards, graphs, charts, and reports.
* Prepare, summarise and present this data to senior management and create a compelling and convincing case.
* Confidently communicate with internal/external stakeholders to fully understand data content and business requirements.
* Prepare high-quality and engaging presentations for internal/external use.
* Present engagingly to key stakeholders both internally and externally.
* Support business managers by effectively managing the business opportunity pipeline from start to finish.
* In collaboration with senior management, prepare high-quality, detailed, and focused business plans.
* Carry out other reasonable work requests as needed.
Experience Needed:
* Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a relevant area preferable.
* Previous freight forwarding or cargo airline experience.
* Previous experience in a business development and/or analyst function within aviation.
* Advanced knowledge of programs such as Excel, Power BI, SQL.
* Experience of turning data into meaningful and high-quality dashboards.
