My client’s West Suffolk Property Management team is seeking an experienced Surveyor or Associate Property Manager to take a proactive approach to managing a diverse portfolio and client base. The successful candidate will oversee the management of a substantial property portfolio, catering to both commercial and private clients.
This role involves handling all aspects of day-to-day property management, including administering various service charge regimes, managing building insurance, overseeing major works, coordinating with contractors, and maintaining regular correspondence with lessees. The ideal candidate will also have some leadership experience to assist in managing our growing property management team based in Bury St Edmunds.

Key Responsibilities:
* Managing multi-occupied commercial properties across sectors such as industrial, office, retail, and leisure.
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, tenants, contractors, on-site staff, and the wider commercial property management team.
* Supervising and guiding site-based staff.
* Preparing, presenting, and securing approval for Service Charge Budgets, managing service charge reconciliations, and overseeing service charge regimes throughout the year.
* Presenting Service Charge Budgets to tenants and addressing any queries.
* Day-to-day communication with property owners, asset managers, and tenants.
* Preparing and delivering timely reports and information to clients.
* Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, including Health and Safety regulations.
* Opportunities for team leadership.
Qualifications and Experience:
* MRICS qualification is desirable but not essential.
* Strong knowledge of the property market, as well as broader economic and business trends.
* Proficient in IT, including Microsoft Office 365, Word, and Excel.
* Extensive experience in the commercial property market and property management.
* Ability to manage a large and diverse workload efficiently.
* Excellent planning, organisational, and communication skills.
* Leadership experience with the ability to manage teams effectively.
* A valid driving license is required.
