The firm's Knowledge & Information Services (K&IS) team operates a busy and dynamic enquiry/research service supporting all of Fieldfisher's offices. In addition to the enquiry service the team produce regular current awareness and business intelligence reports in accordance with the needs of the lawyers and their clients. The team also offers training in legal research and use of online databases to staff. We are looking for a highly organised and motivated individual with strong customer service skills to join the team. This opening is for a Knowledge & Information Officer to primarily support our Corporate department, but also provide research support for the rest of the firm as required. Responsibilities Business Research – provide bespoke company/competitor/sector intelligence reports Legal Research - responding to user's requests by identifying and locating relevant case law/legislation / commentary. Current Awareness - tailored updates on legal practice areas, sectors, and client activities Training - Carry out induction training for trainees and new joiners to the firm. To include the use of online legal research databases, hard copy collections and Knowledge Management online resources. Intranet & Wiki Management - responsibility for maintaining K&IS and practice-related content on the firm’s intranet & wiki. Collection Management - maintaining group libraries including carrying out regular stock takes and ensuring that resources are kept up to date. Projects - Assist with the ongoing development of the firm-wide Knowledge Management systems and participate in projects as and when required.
