Job Summary/ Purpose Statement:
Reporting to a Director - Decision Support, this role supports the APAC Agency and Travel Partners Commercial Organizations by providing essential finance support for commercial deals by leading the investment appraisal process across the region.
The role will influence and assist all commercial decisions to drive incremental revenues and profits, provide variance analysis, highlight opportunities for growth and formulate plans to mitigate risks.
Main Accountabilities:
1. Finance support for Key Account managers, providing high quality financial support on Agency/Travel Partners commercial deals, gaining appropriate approvals, and ensuring compliance with Travelport financial operations processes.
2. Support the region in modelling and understanding any new pricing and model change initiatives
3. Provide 'One' finance voice across the commercial teams in analyzing and supporting commercial deals across the Agency and Travel Partners organisations
4. Review and challenge Air Partners deals with ownership of ensuring Go To Market strategy of any new deals is understood across all finance and commercial teams
5. Ensure financial models and deals represent accurate information and reflect impact to financial position.
6. Drive efficiencies in the deal approval process, to improve speed and quality of deal reviews and approvals
7. Provide training on how to construct deals to the commercial teams and provide Deal Builder training as required.
8. Understand and input on regional cash flow requirements and commitments.
9. Work with regional account owners to grow / improve profitability of agents, by driving revenue opportunities and cost of revenue reductions schemes. Involvement to assess impact of pricing decisions on products and providing feedback on corporate initiatives
10. Responsible for sign off on commercial deals within agreed DOA.
11. Work with Corporate and Financial Operations functions on ensuring accounting policies are understood by the region and adhered to, working with the Account teams on any issues that may arise and highlight possible alternatives.
12. Supporting implementation and rollout of new deal processes and commercial pricing.
Capabilities:
13. Studying Accountant (CIMA or ACCA or equivalent)
14. Strong business acumen, able to make decisions that affect the business, and be prepared to be challenged on these decisions.
15. Self-starter with initiative and the ability to communicate ideas effectively
16. Practical and proven experiences in an accounting environment
17. Good interpersonal skills, and an ability to tailor their approach to deal with different levels of management.
18. PC literacy requiring strong experience in PowerPoint & Excel. Cognos & Oracle - benefit
