Bamboo Fundraising Recruitment are partnered with Woman’s Trust, the UK’s leading specialist charity for women’s mental health support, who are seeking a dynamic Head of Fundraising and Development to join its Senior Leadership Team. About Them
For nearly 30 years, Woman’s Trust has empowered women to recover from the trauma of domestic abuse through trauma-informed, person-centred mental health services. Supporting over 900 women annually, we are committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and equitable environment for all.
We aim to double our income and the number of women supported by 2027, with ambitious plans to develop services for young women and girls, peer-led support groups, and therapeutic programmes for children and their mothers, while advancing national systems change.
Your Role
As the Head of Fundraising and Development, you will:
* Secure sustainable funding from statutory, trust and foundation, corporate, and donor streams.
* Drive innovation in statutory commissioning, targeting six-figure, multi-year grants.
* Build and steward relationships with funders, stakeholders, and partners to promote awareness of our work and mission.
* Oversee the development of bids, proposals, and tender applications, ensuring high standards and alignment with strategic priorities.
* Inspire, lead, and support a team of two direct reports, cultivating a collaborative and positive work environment.
What We’re Looking For
We seek a highly motivated and experienced leader with:
* Proven success in generating £1m+ annual income and securing multiple six-figure grants/contracts.
* Strong experience engaging statutory stakeholders, developing partnerships, and managing relationships across diverse funder groups.
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to craft compelling funding proposals and presentations.
* A collaborative leadership style, underpinned by an ambitious, growth-focused mindset.
* Knowledge of domestic abuse and its impact on women and children (desirable).
