At Blackbird, every piece of jewellery is designed and handcrafted in the UK. Our talented artisans bring concept designs to life using a combination of CAD and wax carving techniques with expertise which are then finished and assembled by hand.
Our second brand, Licensed to Charm, is a collection of quirky jewellery full of character, unique and authentic. Everything is designed and made in the UK, prioritising sustainability by using recycled silver and locally made recyclable packaging.
About the Job
We are now looking for a Sales and Production Assistant to work in all areas of our growing jewellery business, with daily reporting to the Production Director.
We are looking for an enthusiastic full time person with a real interest in jewellery design and manufacture. The ideal person would have relevant knowledge, skills and experience based in previous employment within the sector.
The Ideal Candidate
Would be an enthusiastic all-rounder who would have the scope and desire to develop in a rapidly growing business, as part of a small and agile team. They would be willing and capable of carrying out the following tasks:
1. preparing / assembly of jewellery for sale
2. dealing with jewellery suppliers and designers
3. liaison with the fulfilment house (who manage most LTC online sales)
4. fulfilling ecommerce orders as needed
5. dealing with retail customers in the shop
6. assisting with shop display and visual merchandising
7. the ability to provide a high level of customer service
8. Dealing with on-line customer service across platforms on a daily basis
9. provide holiday cover for the Production Director
10. basic bench work (occasional as needed)
Additional Skills Required Include
11. quality control
12. stock control and ordering
13. demonstrated graphics and DTP skills
14. a high level of written and oral communication
15. experience in admin and supporting a team
16. the ability to manage social media accounts from a professional perspective
17. maintaining and managing websites
18. performing email and other marketing activities
