Due to its nature, you need to be 18-years or older to work in this role.
Key Responsibilities
1. Planning out your delivery journey, ensuring efficiency to support the smooth running of our supply chain operation.
2. Supporting with the safe loading and unloading of your trailer.
3. Carrying out a full set of safety checks on your lorry.
4. Maintaining a full knowledge of the Highway code, WTD, EU Drivers Hours Regulations, the Partnership's Transport Partners handbook and the driver's training pack and adhere to them.
5. Finding solutions to unexpected situations in the day and keep the transport office up to date with your journey, communicating any problems and delays that might occur.
6. Reporting any vehicle issues appropriately.
7. Completing supplier and Partnership documentation accurately.
Essential skills/experience you'll need
1. A valid Manual UK LGV1 C + E driving licence (with a maximum of 6 points).
2. A valid DCPC (Drivers Qualification Card) and valid Tachograph Card.
3. Previous experience driving a 44t articulated lorry.
Desirable skills/experience you may have
1. Good local/national geographical knowledge.
