JB294: Agricultural Service Engineer

Salary: £35,000 DOE + company vehicle
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 8am 5pm, Friday 8am 4pm
Overview:
Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel; however, all candidates will be given due consideration. This position would be excellent for someone from a REME background with experience working on military vehicles.
This position will provide an opportunity to work on a variety of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and plant equipment, and enhance your mechanical knowledge across a wider spectrum.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Joining a knowledgeable and friendly team, working on advanced machinery, drawing heavily on your knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and electrics.
* Delivering comprehensive technical service, including pre-delivery inspections, maintenance, fault diagnosis, repair, and overall exceptional technical service.
* Conducting much of the repair and service work on-site; a fully expensed vehicle will be provided.
* Service and repair a range of Construction, Agricultural, and Ground care machinery/equipment.
* Diagnosing faults and testing vehicles utilizing available equipment and recognized test procedures.
* Completing all relevant paperwork and documentation to the required standard.
Skills and Qualifications:
* A background in the motor car/bike industry, commercial vehicles (including forklifts and lorries), REME, Marines, ground care maintenance, farming, or any other mechanically minded and practical industry.
* An NVQ in Land Based Engineering is highly desirable; a positive appreciation for the countryside and the unique demands of farming is essential.
* Technical Apprenticeship preferred or 3-5 years of service industry experience in an engineering-based role.
* Good attention to detail with excellent problem-solving attributes.
* Customer-focused with strong communication skills.
* Confident and driven, with a desire to ensure high standards are always met.
* Training will be provided.
* Full UK Driving licence required.
