What you will be doing:
You will join an inclusive and supportive team that works well together to provide care to people with challenging behaviors and high support needs, using your knowledge and skills to help people along their recovery pathway towards leading a valued and fulfilled life.
Your daily tasks will include ward rounds, analyzing behaviors and adapting care accordingly with colleagues, updating patient records, and providing overall care and support, which may include assisting with personal hygiene.
It can be quite a challenging environment at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience, and vigilance are important. But it is hugely rewarding to see people improve because of your involvement, knowing that you’ve made a difference in someone’s life.
The shift pattern is 12.5 hours a day, 3-4 days a week, including nights and weekends.
Where you will be working:
Ann House provides a specialist provision with enhanced levels of support, allowing people with ongoing challenging behavior and high support needs to be cared for in the least restrictive setting possible, within a service that is robust and structured enough to meet their ongoing needs and risks.
The service ensures people lead meaningful everyday lives, with choices and control, accessing mainstream services and facilities, engaging in work and training, leisure activities, hobbies, and personal interests. Ann House encourages independence with the long-term goal of transitioning to more independent living settings.
