Key Responsibilities:
* Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for clients with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
* Use a variety of therapeutic techniques and tools to deliver effective interventions tailored to each client’s unique needs.
* Educate and support clients, families, and caregivers in implementing communication strategies and exercises.
* Collaborate with teachers, healthcare professionals, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
* Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
* Participate in continuous professional development to stay updated with best practices in Speech and Language Therapy.
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech and Language Therapy or a related field.
* Current registration with the HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council).
* Knowledge and experience in working with a range of speech, language, and communication disorders.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, with a person-centered approach to therapy.
Preferred Skills:
* Experience in specialized areas such as pediatric speech therapy, autism spectrum disorder, or dysphagia management.
* Additional training in Makaton, PECS, or other alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) methods.
* Strong understanding of evidence-based practices and assessment tools in Speech and Language Therapy.
