I am currently working with a growing and well-respected accountancy firm who are looking to bring an Audit & Accounts Senior on board to their offices based in Borehamwood. The role is ideal for someone with at least two years of post-qualification experience who's confident managing audits from planning through to completion, while also mentoring junior team members and contributing to their development.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead audit engagements across a varied client portfolio - from planning through to finalisation - ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and internal standards
2. Prepare statutory accounts for Limited companies and Partnerships
3. Identify key risks during audit planning and tailor audit programmes accordingly
4. Draft audit planning documentation, including budgets and schedules, in a timely manner
5. Perform and review substantive testing, ensuring any errors are addressed and resolved
6. Coordinate and manage audit teams, keeping assignments on track and within budget
7. Provide hands-on support and technical guidance to junior team members
8. Respond to audit review queries and prepare audit reports and management letters
9. Build strong working relationships with clients and stakeholders
