THE ROLE IN SHORT:
This role will be accountable for the vision, strategy, experience, and results for our fleet management solution(s) globally. At a high level, this will include:
* Deeply understanding our customers’ needs, market dynamics, and business context.
* Championing a compelling & competitive product vision and roadmap, and delivering on this roadmap reliably and to a high quality.
* Owning business results for your specific solution(s) globally (in partnership with Sales & Business Development), and contributing to the continual improvement of our global single platform - MyConnectedFleet.
* Leading, motivating, and developing a team with 1x Product Owner and 1x Squad, and coordinating & influencing “laterally” across stakeholder groups (eg, R&D, UX, Customer Service) to achieve target outcomes and deliverables as one team.
This role will require a candidate to cultivate an ‘ecosystem’ of strong working relationships across MCF customers, commercial teams (eg, Sales, Business Development, Marketing, Customer Service), and delivery teams (eg, R&D, Design) globally.
WHAT WILL I BE DOING:
DISCOVERY: Identify valuable insights & opportunities by deeply understanding our customers, markets, and business context
* Understand the fleet management market structure and dynamics across regions to inform strategy & decision-making (eg, market size, sub-segments, trends, regulation)
* Continuously develop our understanding of our customers’ operation, needs, pains, and gains, including how customers access, understand, use, and interact with our solutions.
* Establish productive relationships with customers and Sales / Expansion leadership across regions to systematically gather and review customer feedback & insight on an ongoing basis
* Understand and monitor competitor developments, and partner ecosystem across regions to inform development plans (eg, their footprint, strategy, strengths, weaknesses)
* Understand & monitor the key metrics behind the adoption and satisfaction with our solutions across regions (eg, activity & engagement, NPS)
STRATEGY: Champion business outcomes and align teams on the key activities to achieve them
Define & own our overall results for our solutions considering experience, satisfaction, and growth across regions (in partnership with Sales and Business Development / Expansion).
* Define & own a clear vision for new & existing solutions based on target business outcomes & continuous discovery insight (ie: translating opportunities / feedback / insight into clear, differentiated development ideas / initiatives)
* Assess and prioritise development ideas / initiatives across regions into a structured, aligned product roadmap (quarterly and annually)
* Own the definition & continuous improvement of our solutions to promote commercial adoption & growth, in partnership with Marketing and Sales / Expansion teams (eg, bundle structure & tiering, value proposition)
EXECUTION: Deliver on the defined priorities & activities needed to achieve business outcomes
* Lead team members to design best-in-class customer solutions that are valuable, useable, and feasible, in partnership with Design and R&D (eg, story mapping & MVP definition, UX / UI, architecture)
* Ensure that the solution design and user experience for our solutions are consistent with the vision and standards for our global single platform - MyConnectedFleet
* Break down high-level roadmaps / initiatives into detailed activity & execution plans in collaboration with key partners across the business
* Monitor performance and progress against plan & outcomes to ensure initiatives are delivered reliably and to a high quality
* Rigorously measure and monitor the impact & value of team activities (ie, how team execution is vs. isn’t “moving the needle” against target outcomes)
* Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement by promoting a cadence of regular feedback and retrospection with team members, customers, and business partners
GROWTH: Lead and develop people & teams to do their best work
* Motivate and inspire a PO and squad around the shared vision, outcomes, and plan for the development of our insights & reporting solutions
* Coach and develop a PO through clear task and behavioural feedback (aligned to MICHELIN ICARE principles)
* Define & contribute to Product team standards, governance, and ways of working to ‘level up’ the consistency and quality of our deliverables
* Be seen as a thought leader / subject matter expert on insights & reporting solutions across the business (ie: executive- and working team-level, across regions)
* Actively share and evangelise our vision, priorities, plans, and progress across the business to promote alignment, pride, and positive growth momentum
TO BE SUCCESSFUL YOU WILL LIKELY HAVE:
* A university degree with a track record of continuous professional growth
* 4+ years direct involvement with information technology / SaaS applications, with proven experience in product management and marketing
* Demonstrated experience delivering results in a changing environment, with proven capability as an individual contributor
* Demonstrated experience and understanding of product management and experience / interaction design
* Foundational understanding of technology applications & architecture, and familiarity with agile software development practices
* Strong ability to collaborate, communicate, present and negotiate effectively across disciplines, vendors, partners and customers
* Sound judgement and decision-making skills, with the ability to juggle multiple competing priorities and work under deadline pressure
* High quality standards for work output with excellent attention to detail
