A leading civil engineering and utilities contractor is seeking an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to oversee the commercial management of projects across the UK and Ireland. This role involves full lifecycle cost control, contract administration, and financial reporting, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with contractual obligations.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage the commercial aspects of projects from initiation to completion.
2. Oversee contract administration, ensuring compliance with NEC, JCT, and bespoke contracts.
3. Work closely with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure financial and contractual requirements are met.
4. Prepare and manage cash flow forecasts, valuations, and cost-to-complete reports.
5. Manage procurement, subcontractor agreements, and supply chain management.
6. Lead change control processes and manage project variations.
7. Produce detailed commercial reports and ensure accurate financial tracking.
8. Support pre-contract negotiations, risk analysis, and tendering processes.
Requirements:
1. Degree in Quantity Surveying or an equivalent qualification, or at least seven years' experience in a similar role.
2. Strong understanding of construction contracts and financial management.
3. Proficiency in industry software (e.g., COINS, RedSky, Asta Powerproject).
4. Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
5. CSR Black Card (or willingness to obtain).
