An award winning Health and Beauty Company in York are seeking an efficient Office Co-ordinator to play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of their offices. This is an exciting and varied role with the scope to enhance current ways of working, bring forward your ideas and make this job your own The hours are great too as you will be working 9.30am-2.30pm (though this is open to discussion), Monday to Friday, so you do need to be on site to greet visitors etc. You also need to drive as you will be required to pop out occasionally and undertake local errands. You will report into a busy company accountant so you must be a self reliant person who can resolve issues independently (once trained of course by the existing incumbent who is now retiring) Your role will involve: Greeting visitors and signing them in Orienting all new employees and setting up basic HR records (confidentiality is a must) Supporting the finance team (no finance experience required) Making sure the post is distributed as well as organising couriers etc Arranging local and international travel for employees Ensuring all office supplies are ordered and maintained Health and safety administration Ensure all meeting rooms and kitchens are well stocked and presentable Organising office social events Ad hoc tasks for the MD when required To secure this position of Office Co-ordinator the successful individual will : Have solid office administration experience Have an outgoing and friendly personality (you will be greeting visitors and interacting with busy employees) Highly organised -there’s lots to juggle in this role but lots of variety Experienced in MS Office and comfortable picking up new IT systems Have a driving license (you may need to run errands) Smart appearance – this is a people facing role at times Be calm and unflappable – it can be a really busy job at certain points of the year Have a proactive and “can do “ attitude Happy to be the “go to “person for any ad hoc duties In return this company will offer you: Salary: £27k pro rata (equivalent to approx. £16k) Hours 22.5 per week (9.30am to 2.30pm with 30 mins break, but open to discussion) Holidays – 25 days (pro rata) Pension Free parking Private medical and opticians insurance Use of a Flat in Whitby free of charge for your family– one week a year Long service awards Fun social events Supportive team environment
