Role: Farm Worker
Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (30-min unpaid lunch)
* Flexible start/finish times available (8 hrs total per day).
About the Job:
* We’re on the lookoutfor a hands-on, hardworking individual to roll up their sleeves and join our small, friendly team on a commercial poultry farm!
* Over the course of 3 to 4 weeks, you’ll play a vital role in dismantling, deep-cleaning, and rebuilding one of our hen houses – all in preparation for a fresh flock.
* This is a unique opportunity to get stuck into some rewarding farm work and make a real difference.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Tear Down & Stack – Dismantle flooring, nest boxes, and equipment, stacking it for cleaning.
* Shovel & Shift – Yes, there’s manure! Help clear it out, readying the space for a deep clean.
* Power Up – Operate a heavy-duty petrol power washer (training provided!) for around 6 days of cleaning. Waterproof gear supplied.
* Rebuild – Reassemble and disinfect the equipment, getting the hen house back in top shape.
* Secure & Support – Anchor silos and help with drainage improvements around the farm.
What You’ll Need:
* A can-do attitude and a willingness to get your hands dirty!
* The ability to work outdoors in winter – warm clothing is a must.
* No reading or writing skills required – just strong hands and a good work ethic.
