SCHOOL CHEF 40 hours per week Week 1: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM Week 2: Wednesday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, plus full-day shifts on Saturday and Sunday £26,000 to £29,000 We are working with an Independant School in Hastings that are seeking a Chef to join them on a permanent basis. Key Responsibilities: Support the Catering Manager in the smooth operation of the kitchen. Manage kitchen administration, HACCP documentation, and compliance with food safety regulations. Prepare meals to specification, ensuring budget compliance and minimal waste. Provide a chef presence during meal service to enhance the dining experience. Conduct regular fridge and storage checks to maintain hygiene and compliance with SFBB and EHO guidelines. Ensure a clean and hygienic kitchen in accordance with COSHH regulations and the Food Safety Act. They are seeking someone who has the following: Minimum NVQ Level 2 in Cooking and Food Preparation or 3 years’ experience in a similar role. Level 2 Food Safety Certificate.
