About the Role: As a Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside experienced educators to provide tailored support to students, helping them to develop their mathematical skills and achieve their academic goals. This is an ideal opportunity for a Maths graduate considering a future in teaching or looking to gain practical experience in a school setting. Key Responsibilities: Support students on a one-to-one or small-group basis, helping them to understand challenging mathematical concepts and improve their confidence in the subject. Assist teachers in preparing and delivering lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring students of all abilities can access the curriculum. Help students prepare for assessments, including GCSE exams, by guiding them through problem-solving techniques, revision strategies, and practice questions. Develop and adapt resources to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with additional learning needs. Track and monitor student progress, providing feedback to teachers to inform lesson planning and intervention strategies. Foster a positive and engaging learning environment, encouraging students to actively participate in lessons and develop a love for Maths. Participate in extracurricular activities, such as Maths clubs or competitions, to inspire a deeper interest in the subject. What We’re Looking For: The ideal candidate will: Hold a degree in Mathematics or a closely related field. Be patient, adaptable, and proactive in meeting the varying needs of students. Exhibit strong organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Have a genuine interest in pursuing a career in teaching or education. Be available full-time from March to the end of the academic year. While previous experience working with young people is advantageous, it is not essential, as full training and support will be provided.
