Axcis Education are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join the SEND Team at an over-subscribed 11-18 mainstream secondary school in the Altrincham area. This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting students with special educational needs such as ADHD, SEMH, challenging behaviour, and is committed to making a positive impact on their educational journey.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs, both in and out of the classroom.
2. Work closely with teachers and the SEND Team to ensure student's needs are met.
3. Support student's social and emotional development.
4. Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
1. A flexible and positive approach to working in a dynamic educational setting.
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
3. Experience working with children or young people, ideally within a school setting or youth club.
4. A genuine interest in supporting the educational development of students with SEND.
5. The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
Qualifications:
1. Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role in the UK is highly desirable.
2. Relevant qualifications or training in education or special educational needs support is advantageous, but not necessary.
Location: Altrincham, Greater Manchester
Type: Full-time, long term
Start Date: As soon as possible
Hour: 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
Pay per day: £100-£110
