About the Role Successful candidates will provide friendly and safe transport for children and adults on their way to and from schools and day centre. About You The ideal candidate will have: Ability to maintain passenger comfort while providing transport to and from Special Educational Schools and Day Centres. Providing care, responsive and effective support whilst assisting passengers with physical, mental and /or development disabilities. Ensuring the equipment is fit for the route to be undertaken and complies with the department policy. Ensuring that the tail lift is correctly operated and that all passengers are safe in compliance with training provided. To liaise with both Driver, parents/carers and other professional people you come in contact with, reporting any issues/ concerns to the office as soon as possible. Comply with the principles of standard infection control protocols at all time to prevent the spread of infection. This role requires manual handling of people such as pushing wheelchairs, supporting ambulant passengers with mobility issues, support passengers while using vehicle tail lift. - A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.
