Job Title: Interim Financial Controller Location : Sheffield Contract Type : 12-month FTC Salary : Up to £85,000 per annum Working Model : One day WFH per week About the Role Elevation Recruitment Group is currently working on behalf of a leading manufacturing business seeking an experienced and qualified Interim Financial Controller. This role will be pivotal in overseeing the financial operations of the business during a period of transition, with specific responsibility for costing and financial control within the manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will bring extensive financial control experience, with a strong background in manufacturing finance and costing processes. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial reporting while driving improvements in cost control and financial performance. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review management accounts, forecasts, and budgets, with a specific focus on manufacturing costings. Oversee the costing process, ensuring accurate cost allocation and inventory valuation. Lead a team of four, fostering a high-performance culture within the finance function. Monitor cash flow and manage working capital to ensure the business meets its operational requirements. Provide strategic financial insights to senior management, with a focus on cost control and financial efficiency. Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies. Manage relationships with auditors during the year-end audit process. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial controls and reporting efficiency. Lead and manage month-end and year-end financial processes, ensuring accurate and timely reporting. Skills & Experience Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent). Proven experience in a Financial Controller role, within a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of manufacturing costings, inventory valuation, and cost control. Excellent knowledge of financial reporting and management accounting processes. Ability to analyse complex financial data and provide actionable insights to the business. Strong leadership and team management skills. Advanced knowledge of financial software and Microsoft Excel. Strong communicator, with the ability to collaborate across departments and influence senior stakeholders. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
