We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a Tier 1 contractor working on a major marine project based in Leiston. This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to contribute to a high-profile and technically challenging project in the marine sector.
About the role of Quantity Surveyor:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will manage the financial and contractual aspects of this significant marine project, ensuring cost control and efficient budget management throughout the project's lifecycle. Proficiency in Excel and cost management is essential, and experience working on marine projects is highly desired, making this an exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor with relevant expertise.
Responsibilities for Quantity Surveyor:
1. Managing and controlling project costs and budgets
2. Preparing financial reports and forecasts using advanced Excel skills
3. Administering contracts in compliance with NEC or other relevant frameworks
4. Supporting the project team to ensure efficient and cost-effective delivery
5. Conducting regular site visits to monitor progress and update cost tracking
6. Preparing and negotiating final accounts
Requirements for Quantity Surveyor:
1. Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within the marine or civils sector
2. Proficient in Excel, with strong skills in cost control and management
3. Knowledge of contract administration, including NEC frameworks
4. Excellent communication and analytical skills
5. Experience working on marine projects is highly desired
