The Finance Manager will receive a salary of up to £45,000 along with other attractive benefits. This is a varied role and would suit an individual who enjoys getting involved with all aspects of the finance function. Primary responsibilities; Reporting into both the Principal and the group finance function, to have day to day responsibility for the efficient running of the finance function To work with the Principal and the management team to meet the day to day operating, cash flow and finance processing needs of the company. Work with the parent company to ensure the group is receiving relevant and accurate financial information on a timely basis and ensure compliance with group policies and procedures. Ensure the prompt and accurate processing and recording of all financial transactions, including sales invoices, credit notes, payments, purchase invoices, debit notes, commissions, contra journals, etc. Produce timely management information for the company, including regular reports and ad-hoc data requests. Ensure that the annual and ongoing financial planning, forecasting and controls are appropriate and sufficient to meet the needs of the company. To ensure that all month end and year end processes are undertaken in a timely manner, including the timely completion of the bank reconciliations and all other control accounts. To ensure that the company operates effective, well-controlled credit control. Preparation and submission of external statutory and regulatory returns, for example for VAT, PAYE, Pension Providers, ONS, etc. To ensure that all necessary monthly payroll data is provided to the payroll bureau in line with deadlines and to maintain appropriate payroll records for management, audit and HMRC purposes. Key experience and attributes; Experience of computerised accounting systems (such as Sage, Opera etc) Minimum of 5 years in finance team, preferably with some experience of team management Strong Microsoft Excel skills Excellent time management and prioritisation skills Experience of working within an education setting or an international environment (Desirable) Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
