By joining our OHL Transmission and Distribution team as a Project Manager you will have overall accountability for successful project delivery including planning, design, delivery, monitoring, commissioning and handover/close out on OHL Projects
Our projects are site-based / UK Wide however we welcome flexible working. This role is available full-time hybrid working.
Accountable for
* Hold periodic project reviews with site teams and clients.
* Ensure reports provide relevant information to enable decisions to be made
which are informed, cost effective and in line with overall business strategy
* Prepare and present both internal/external reports and liaise with stakeholders
* Ability to interrogate designs and challenge inputs and deliverables

Health, Safety & Environmental
* Forecast cost and resource requirements.
* Ensure a relentless focus on Health and Safety & keep up to date with changes in
legislation
* Carry out Safety & Environmental audits.
* Lead Accident/Incident Investigations and monitor effectiveness of the H&S Management System and implement improvement actions
* Lead on reviewing RAMS and accepting subcontractor RAMS
* Develop H&S plans and ensure it is treated as a live document and ensure sufficiency and competency of workforce
* Coordinate and manage all project activities and internal functions and identify and control resource to deliver works
* Develop high performing teams, promote a pipeline of talent and assist with
internal training through supporting, guiding, motivating and empowering the
team. Using the resources available through training, mentoring and
performance management.
* Lead risk/opportunity reviews, ownership of the Risk Register and
recommend/implement changes. Log and escalate any issues that cannot be resolved at delegated level of authority
* Manage subcontractors, including monitoring of contractor attendance and
progress, providing direct instruction and support as necessary, such that
contractual arrangements are achieved.
* Support and contribute with tenders and new work applications.
* Ensure Quality assurance activities are undertaken and take appropriate
action on findings and lead working groups on focused improvement areas.
* Monitor progress and implement Short Interval Control processes/hold weekly
meetings and ensure production of operational milestones reflect master schedule and client expectations.
* Incorporate and balance both operational and commercial constraints into
decision making.
* Support and contribute with tenders and new work applications.
Essential
Must have experience managing projects 33kv upover.
* 5 years’ experience managing projects.
* CSCS and SMSTS or Equivalent
* Able to demonstrate a track record of project delivery
* In depth understanding and practical experience of standard forms of contracts
* Planning and programming experience.
* Driving Licence
Desirable:
* Formal qualification in project management (APM)
* Experience managing DNO projects.
* IOSH / NEBOSH
