Lifted Entertainment is a thriving Label within ITV Studios and produces a wide range of programming in their Manchester and London offices. The post holder will be expected to create, in partnership with senior editorial colleagues, outstanding, distinctive, multi-platform and commercially successful content within operational, financial, welfare and legal constraints. The post holder will provide team leadership for the Production Management Team. They will ensure compliance with all ITV’s processes and policies (H&S, Duty of Care, Data Protection, Anti-bribery, Modern Slavery, Cyber Security, Operational Risk) as well as fulfilment of ITV’s diversity and inclusion and environmental commitments The post holder will have sufficient breadth, knowledge and experience of operating at a senior management level, bringing effective leadership and playing a key role in building and maintaining a professional production team. Some Key Responsibilities: Understanding of the Label P&L and the impact on key decision making. Accountable for controlling the financial and operational management of a portfolio of programmes for the Manchester base, so that they are produced efficiently on schedule and on budget delivering to editorial brief and production margins. Responsible for working in partnership with senior editorial colleagues and all commercial partners (Commercial, Interactive, Online, GE) acting as key point of contact to ensure that opportunities for commercial exploitation are identified at an early stage, are achievable and coordinated throughout the production process realising maximum potential revenue. To be the control point and main contact for guidance on health and safety, production compliance and insurance issues ensuring with senior editorial colleagues that teams have an understanding of – and comply with – ITV policies, guidelines, legislative and regulatory requirements in order to minimise ITV’s exposure to risk. Accountable for keeping abreast of technology developments and working with key resource providers to identify the most appropriate and efficient workflow (capture, editing process) ensuring all assets are delivered within the contractually agreed timeframe. Understanding of ITV strategy and policies and ability to ensure these are embedded in the DNA of the Production Management community and activity. Accountable for driving both the start up process and final review of each production to ensure lessons are learned and improvements implemented. Responsible with senior editorial colleagues, to effectively lead production teams and manage all production staffing matters in line with company HR policy demonstrating a proactive approach towards fair selection, diversity, career development, performance management, team culture and succession planning. Working closely with the Head of Production to ensure cohesive working practices across our teams, close collaboration and cooperation between the London and Manchester offices. To be considered for this opportunity you will need to demonstrate the following skills: Minimum role criteria - please provide evidence in your application : Understanding a large Label P&L and the impact on key decision making. Extensive production and commercial knowledge to lead the successful production of a portfolio of programmes. Demonstrates proven financial acumen with a solution-focussed approach to achieving editorial ambition and sensitivity to the pressures of production and the creative process. Excellent people skills and the ability to work well with colleagues across the business. Confidence to effectively manage upwards and draw on a range of strategies and styles to persuade, challenge and influence others. Ability to manage at both a macro and micro level displaying sufficient authority to oversee the bigger picture as well as paying due attention to specific issues as they arise. Ability to manage, motivate and develop teams giving clear sense of direction and drawing on the strengths of individuals to achieve best results. Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with other Senior Team members across the label. Proficient in managing, Health, Safety & Risk including Duty of Care/Welfare on programmes both on and off screen. Demonstrates energy and resilience and ability to maintain performance in face of ever-changing priorities and workload. Demonstrates maturity to manage and mitigate any major crises or unforeseen events. High level of integrity particularly when dealing with confidential and sensitive information.
