White Label recruitment is currently working with a leading valve distributor who has a brand new Sales Manager / Business Development position to lead the sales for the valves and fittings distribution arm of the business. This is a home-based position focusing on new business development as well as developing current accounts. This position is suitable for someone in the North or the Midlands.
This business has a fantastic name in the industry and invests in their staff, with many employees having been there for over 20/30 years. They specialize in smaller valves for the utilities, water, and natural gas industries, as well as applications requiring small bore fittings for pipelines. They deal with clients like National Grid, etc. This part of the business specializes in galvanized steel, brass ball valves, gate globe check, and butterfly valves, as well as all associated fittings. There are huge career progression opportunities with this role to potentially advance to a much more senior position in a relatively short space of time. The focus of this role is to build and manage the future business development strategy focused on increased sales and new business opportunities. This person will also be responsible for developing and implementing a strategic sales plan that expands the customer base and product ranges, ensuring a strong presence in the markets they operate in.
The Role
* Achieve forecasted growth and sales targets by a planned and agreed growth strategy.
* Design and implement a strategic business plan for the customer base and product range.
* Promote and build strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and providing a 100% client-driven understanding of their needs.
* Present sales results, margin, opportunities, and realistic forecasts to the management team monthly.
* Keep abreast of and identify new emerging markets and opportunity trends, and be aware of new products and any competition threats/opportunities.
