About the role: A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a driven and experienced Theatre Nurse / Practitioner to join a highly reputable state of the art private hospital based in Leicester. This is an excellent opportunity for a Theatre Nurse / Practitioner to join their thriving theatre team on a permanent basis. The hospital is high performing and expanding and within this role you will be exposed to a wide range of specialities. The service practices some of the most advanced treatments offering a range of services including screening, rehabilitation and a variety of surgical procedures in specialist fields such as orthopaedics and cancer care. The team are passionate about what they do and receive consistent excellent patient satisfaction feedback. This is a great opportunity for a Theatre Nurse / Practitioner to expand on their skills assisting patients undergoing procedures including ENT, max fax, dental, plastics, pain management, orthopaedic, gynaecology and urology.
Duties and responsibilities:
1. Prepare patients for surgery
2. Take them through the journey and reassure patients throughout
3. Caring for patients after surgery recovering from sedation
4. Review patient charts and confirm data
5. Ensure medical equipment is prepared for surgery
6. Follow surgeons' direction and pass medical equipment
7. Monitor patients condition during surgery
Who we're looking for:
1. Be NMC / HCPC registered - your pin must not have any restrictions or conditions
2. Eligibility to live and work in the UK without sponsorship
3. At least 1 year experience working in theatres in the UK
4. Orthopaedics experience highly desirable
5. Interest in development and progression - this role offers the opportunity to complete the surgical assist course
