About the Company
Our client, a globally recognized agrochemical company, is at the forefront of crop protection innovation. With a strong presence in Asia and a rapidly growing footprint in Europe, they are committed to delivering efficient and sustainable solutions for agriculture. The company has recently expanded its European operations and is looking for a dedicated ecotoxicology expert to join their dynamic, international team.
The Role
As an Ecotoxicologist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that plant protection products are environmentally safe and compliant with EU regulations. Working remotely, you will lead the evaluation, risk assessment, and registration of these products, contributing to both agricultural advancements and environmental preservation.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct ecotoxicological risk assessments for plant protection products and active substances, focusing on their effects on non-target organisms and ecosystems.
* Prepare registration dossiers, including draft registration reports (section B9), in line with Regulation 1107/2009 and relevant EU guidelines.
* Perform data gap analyses and provide strategic advice on study design, data generation, and risk assessment.
* Manage the regulatory registration process, addressing authority comments and ensuring compliance with national and EU standards.
* Collaborate with laboratories and CROs to oversee ecotoxicological studies for active substances and plant protection products.
What We’re Looking For
* A degree in ecotoxicology, biology, or a related scientific discipline.
* A minimum of 5 years' experience in ecotoxicology, particularly in regulatory risk assessment for plant protection products.
* Expertise in Higher Tier Risk Assessment and strong knowledge of EU regulations (Regulation 1107/2009, Annex III dossiers, Annex II renewals).
* Experience working within GLP-compliant environments.
* Exceptional written and spoken English skills; additional languages are a bonus.
* Self-motivation, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize complex workloads.
* A proactive, problem-solving mindset and experience in project management.
