We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable planner to join our planning team as a Senior Planner in Development Management.

The Service sits within a Planning Department under the Director of Place.
Working in the Development Management team to progress planning applications and appeals.

Pay Details: Grade 9 - £40,476-£44,711
Hours of Work / Working Pattern: 37 hours per week (Mon-Fri)
Main Place of Work: Docks Office/Hybrid Working
About you
You will need
Working knowledge of the planning system.
Excellent communication skills.
Excellent negotiation skills.
Ability to work to agreed deadlines and under pressure.
Good organisational skills.
Ability to manage a large workload.
Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline.
Relevant post graduate planning qualification or eligible for/working towards Membership of the RTPI.
A commitment to high levels of customer service.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Commitment to good quality outcomes from the development control process.
Ability to deal with people in potentially difficult circumstances
Ability to drive/travel throughout the Vale or between locations as appropriate.
Computer literate and able to use a pc for letters and reports.
