Role overview:
This is a pivotal role to help us create and manage a range of procedures used to maintain our clients premises in compliance with the appropriate pharmaceutical standards.
Job Purpose:
* To assist in the delivery of the Priority 1 Global Engineering Standards (GES) and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) policy gaps at WREF sites.
* Work with the GES GAP PM, Supporting Technical Staff, EMCOR SMEs and WREF technical leads to establish and agree priority technical documentation activities to ensure these are delivered to time and to quality required.
* Provide technical writer and policy support across a range of maturing technical transformation activities established under the mobilisation and transition programme.
Duties:
As part of the established policy gap closure programme, work with the GES GAP PM, Technical Support leads and EMCOR SME to:
* Create, develop, deliver and refine technical compliance files, logbooks, policy and training documents and other site-level documentation as required.
* Support the delivery programme and participate in identified ‘GEMBAs’ related to all GES Policy Gap workstreams in order to develop and refine associated policies/standards.
* Undertake documentation audits and support new documentation creation, working with the EMCOR SMEs and Technical Teams to update all policy documentation identified for review within the GES policy gap workstreams.
* Ensure documentation is in compliance with established templates, formats and writing standards.
* Develop accurate and clear technical documentation that represents EMCOR’s operations processes and job functions by:
* Obtaining and incorporating customer feedback via beta site participation, surveys and/or usability tests.
* Attending training.
* Reading available documentation, including technical and marketing specifications and requirements.
* Testing documentation in Operations for accuracy and validity, utilising available environments.
* Submitting documents for review by the relevant EMCOR SME and WREF quality, peer writers and other compliance team members.
* Resolving questions and conflicting information that arise during the document review period and revises documentation accordingly.
* Undertake meeting support and administration, including progress dashboard management, meeting booking, minute taking etc. as required by the GES Policy GAP PM.
Support the EMCOR GES Policy Gap PM, Technical Support and SMEs, as required, to deliver all policy gap workstreams.
* Participate in (and deliver, where requested) the EMCOR input to the validation of any P2 and P3 policy gap workstreams.
* Provide technical writer support to existing and future technical workstreams, including:
o Asset Onboarding Programme.
o Technical Compliance Activities, including:
+ Client/EMCOR SSoW/PTW.
+ PSSR delivery.
+ L8 Management.
o LEV maintenance, repair and compliance.
o L&D reviews (technical competency setting/management).
o Life Cycle Asset Management (LCAM) delivery.
o F&S compliance (technical review and dilapidation management).
o Technical drawing re-baseline.
Person Specification
Professional Requirements:
* HND-Level Qualification in Technical Communications, a similar technical field or equivalent technical/engineering experience.
* Minimum of 1 year of Technical Writing experience.
* Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) essential. Adobe Acrobat Professional and/or Visio experience a bonus.
* Excellent writing, editing, analytical and organizational skills.
* Excellent interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in understanding and writing clearly about complex, sophisticated technical topics.
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple responsibilities and to pay close attention to detail on many varied tasks.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently in a team environment.
* Mechanical/Electrical/L8 CP Qualified (one or more).
* Understanding of general technical compliance policy and standards including:
* L8,
* PSSR,
* LOLER,
* SSoW including PTW,
* H&S 1974.
