My client has an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Ecologist to join their growing Ecology team at Consultant or Senior grade. The role will be based from their rural offices not far from Southampton. They also offer significant flexible working arrangements to suit your needs (part-time work also considered). My client is seeking Ecologists able to carry out a range of field surveys, including UKHab surveys and protected species surveys, alongside day-to-day office-based work such as project management, report writing and client liaison.
As a key member of their consultancy team, your enthusiasm for ecology and flexible approach will equip you well in supporting my client’s expanding business.

About You
1. Degree in a relevant subject;
2. CIEEM membership;
3. Ideally hold or close to at least one Natural England protected species class licences or be progressing towards applying for such a licence;
4. Minimum of two years post-qualification experience in an ecologically focussed role, preferably in ecological consultancy;
5. Experienced in ecological project management;
6. Experienced in ecological survey and assessment techniques;
7. Knowledge of relevant UK and European legislation, policy and guidance;
8. Be a team player with good verbal and written communications skills;
9. Good MS Outlook, Word and Excel skills;
10. A full driving licence;
11. Legal entitlement to work in the UK.
