We are looking to recruit an Assistant Audiologist to join our friendly Audiology team at Musgrove Park Hospital. You will need to be reliable and adaptable and have a willingness to undertake a wide range of duties both in the clinical environment and administration duties.
Main duties of the job
You will be required to work within the Audiology department at Musgrove Park and once training has been completed you will also be required to work out in the community. A full driving license and access to a vehicle is essential.
The role will have a variety of duties but will you mainly be required to undertake daily hearing aid repair clinics and follow-up clinics. Some of this work will be undertaken with patients face to face in the clinic and some services will be delivered by post, telephone and video consultation. You will also be required to assist qualified Audiologists during busy clinics as well as providing a full range of admin duties and support to the admin team.
You will need excellent communication skills, a good basic standard of education and an enthusiasm to learn. Previous training or experience as an Audiology Assistant or Hearing Care Assistant would be desirable. Good keyboard skills and experience of working within a healthcare setting would be an advantage. It is anticipated that the post holder will undertake a range of training programs to become fully equipped with the skills required for this role.
