We are expanding our team and seeking a Service Interruption Construction Surveyor to support planned electricity supply interruptions, ensuring efficient project execution and excellent customer communication.

As a Service Interruption Construction Surveyor, youll be responsible for performing site visits to deliver customer notification letters for planned supply interruptions, while also supporting the coordination of these critical projects. Youll play a key role in liaising with stakeholders, assessing project requirements, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
This opportunity is ideally suited to someone who has previously worked with a DNO, is technically very knowledgeable on the electricity network (e.g. previous experience as a jointer, SAP or estimator) and now looking for a change of pace.
Key Responsibilities:
Notification Letter Delivery: Personally deliver planned interruption notification letters to customers, ensuring they are informed well in advance of any supply disruptions.
Customer Engagement: Act as a point of contact for customers, providing reassurance and mitigating potential issues related to planned works.
Site Visits: Assess on-site conditions, identify constraints, and record relevant information to support project planning.
Administrative Support: Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, notification deliveries, and site assessments using internal systems.
Outage Planning: Review affected network segments and update interruption packs, including drawings and customer-specific details.
Progress Monitoring: Track project timelines and escalate delays to ensure works proceed smoothly.
Collaboration: Work with Project Managers, Senior Authorised Persons, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with framework obligations and achieve operational goals.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance customer service, and streamline project delivery.
Qualifications and experience:
Career background working alongside regulated DNOs, delivery of underground and/or overhead lines activities.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise professionally with customers and stakeholders.
Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems (Salesforce knowledge is a bonus).
A valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across the South of England.
