Description of Job
Located in Cheshire, Bethel Church Northwich was established in 1990. As a church we are committed to helping everyone be a disciple of Jesus, by being people who ‘Gather, Give and Grow.’
With strong connections to our local community and an increasingly international congregation, we desire to impact more people with the love of Jesus and display more of his glory.
The Role
We desire to see our children and young people grow as disciples of Jesus, build strong healthy relationships and actively engage with the wider church and community. We are seeking to add a part time children, youth and family pastor to our team. This role will build on the foundations that are in place.
Currently, we have teams of volunteers working with up to 25-30 families of preschool children from the community, meeting each Wednesday morning. We have a youth group for 11-18 year olds, meeting on a Friday night. On a Sunday morning, we have groups for children from 0 – 14 years old.
We are seeking someone with the heart, the vision and the gifts to develop these ministries. This will mean working alongside the church leadership and the volunteer teams already in place. The job will require a level of flexibility in the hours worked which will be confirmed in discussion with the selected worker.
Person Specification
1. Must be a committed and passionate disciple of Jesus, committed to biblical teaching and living in the power of the Holy Spirit.
2. Heart for working with children and families.
3. Experience of working with children and families.
4. Ability to lead and build teams effectively.
5. Able to take initiative.
6. Able to work collaboratively with the church leadership and volunteer team members.
7. Willing and able to serve as required across the needs of the church.

Contract: 2 year fixed term
Hours: 20 hours per week (half time) spread over the week.
