Job summary Are you a healthcare assistant with phlebotomy experience? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time, permanent, Band 3 position working across the surgical wards of Darent Valley Hospital. We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual who enjoys patient contact and working in a busy and multi-professional team environment, to support us in the delivery of a high-quality phlebotomy service. Excellent team working and interpersonal skills will be required as well as IT skills that meet the demands of the service. You will work closely with the multi-disciplinary teams to provide a high standard of care and customer focus to improve the patient experience. Main duties of the job The main responsibilities for this role are to take blood samples from hospital patients with indirect supervision, according to protocols and procedures To provide and maintain a stable and safe clinical environment and ensuring that samples reach the Laboratory in optimum condition and in a timely manner.
