Role: Recruitment Administrator/Candidate Consultant
Location: Preston
Hours: Full Time, 8.30am – 5pm, with reduced hours (9am - 3pm) in school summer holidays
Term: Permanent, 4 days office based, 1 day working from home
Start Date: Candidate dependent
Package: £23,000 - £28,000 minimum within first year (combination of base salary and commissions)
Vision for Education is looking to appoint a candidate consultant to join our Education team in Preston where you will be working with schools and educators. The role involves:
1. Using social media to advertise positions, attract candidates and build relationships with candidates, employers, and the teaching community.
2. Headhunting - identifying and approaching suitable candidates who may already be in work.
3. Receiving and reviewing applications, managing interviews, and creating a shortlist of candidates for the client.
4. Requesting references and checking the suitability of applicants before submitting their details to the client.
5. Briefing the candidate about the responsibilities, salary, and benefits of the job.
6. Preparing CVs and correspondence to forward to clients in respect of suitable applicants.
7. Using our Salesforce system to manage bookings.
8. Providing exceptional, consistent customer service to client schools and candidates; being prepared to go above and beyond.
9. Proactively sourcing new candidates by placing adverts on a range of job boards, contacting university providers and arranging open days.
10. Proactively chasing references.
11. Developing sound knowledge and understanding of the marketplace and candidate skill set to ensure successful matches/placements are created.
12. Receiving and effectively managing job applications, pre-screening candidates, conducting face-to-face interviews, CV writing and actively sourcing suitable positions for individual candidates that match their needs.
13. Fully understanding and being compliant in practising the highest levels of safeguarding when it comes to our candidates.
