Description Senior Information Compliance Officer | 7631 | Permanent Contract | 37 hours per week | £33,366 to £35,235 per annum (Scale H) | County Hall We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised person with a customer focused approach, excellent communication skills and analytical aptitude to join our Information Governance Service as a Senior Information Compliance Officer. Working as part of the Information Governance Service, you will ensure the council responds to statutory information requests received from the public and information sharing requests received from other organisations. This role will mainly focus on Information Sharing requests but may include dealing with requests made under the Freedom of Information (FOI) and Environmental Information Regulations (EIR) and the UK GDPR. You will have the opportunity to work flexibly, according to business need, as part of a collaborative and supportive team. You will also work closely with the council’s various departments and external stakeholders, acting as an ambassador for the Information Governance Service. Requests will require the collation of significant amounts of information and quickly, efficiently, and accurately applying any required exemptions, with reference to applicable legislation. You will receive any required training, support, and guidance in applying your technical knowledge to ensure fully compliant responses but you will be expected to work autonomously, taking professional responsibility for dealing with the full process of requests. You should be able to display excellent organisational, time-management and communication skills and an awareness of the data protection legislation and how this impacts the council. This Senior Information Compliance Officer role will be expected to support the development of other members of the Information Governance Service, which may include managing individuals, as required.
