We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Physics Teacher to join a outstanding Science department at a wonderful school in Huntingdon. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified teacher who is passionate about inspiring students through the wonders of Physics and helping them develop their problem-solving, critical thinking, and practical skills. As a Physics Teacher, you will play a key role in KS4 and KS5 Physics, delivering engaging lessons, fostering a deep understanding of the subject, and preparing students for both GCSE and A-Level Physics exams. This role begins September 2025. Duties as a Physics Teacher: Plan and deliver dynamic and engaging Physics lessons in line with the KS4 and KS5 curricula. Teach GCSE Physics and A-Level Physics, ensuring all students develop a comprehensive understanding of key concepts. Provide hands-on, practical learning experiences that enhance theoretical knowledge and inspire a love of Physics. Assess, track, and report on student progress, providing targeted interventions where necessary. Differentiate lessons to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with SEND and EAL. Foster a positive and challenging classroom environment with high expectations for behaviour and academic success. Collaborate with other Science teachers to develop innovative lessons and share best practices. Encourage students to develop a passion for STEM subjects and support them in their future academic and career aspirations. Participate in extracurricular activities, such as Science clubs, trips, and enrichment events. Ideal Physics Teacher: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. A degree in Physics or a related field. Experience teaching GCSE and A-Level Physics (desirable, but not essential for ECTs). A passion for making Physics accessible and exciting for all students. Strong classroom management skills with a focus on high expectations for student behaviour. Excellent communication and teamwork skills as a Physics Teacher.
