Main duties of the job
In this dual-role position, you will work alongside a supportive team, guided by our Matron and Divisional Head of Nursing. You will be responsible for:
1. Providing high-quality, initial assessments and care for acutely ill patients.
2. Coordinating patient transfers to appropriate wards, managing discharges, and collaborating with the multi-disciplinary team.
3. Supporting emergency day cases and ongoing treatment plans in Ambulatory Care.
4. Acting as the nurse in charge, leading the team and ensuring a smooth workflow.
5. Managing a small team, including staff development, managing attendance, and facilitating appraisals.
