The Role: As an Associate Director in the field of Life Sciences, you will play a pivotal role in identifying, protecting, developing, and commercialising high-impact innovations originating from world-leading research. You will lead a portfolio of technology transfer life science projects, engaging with key stakeholders, securing funding, and negotiating commercial agreements to bring pioneering technologies to market. Key Responsibilities: Lead the commercialisation of a diverse portfolio of Life Sciences related innovations. Identify, assess, and manage intellectual property (IP) opportunities. Negotiate and conclude licensing, collaboration, and investment agreements. Build and maintain strong relationships with academics, investors, and industry partners. Provide strategic advice on IP protection, including patents and legal frameworks. Mentor and support Commercialisation Associates and Managers within the team. Work with researchers to secure translational and proof-of-concept funding. Represent the organisation at industry events and conferences. Essential Skills & Experience: PhD or significant research experience in Life Sciences. Proven experience in technology development, licensing, and commercialisation. Strong understanding of IP protection mechanisms and legal agreements. Commercial acumen with experience negotiating and closing complex deals. Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines. Strong leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder engagement skills. Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365; experience with CRM systems is a plus.
