Ensuring Ageas have a future proof approach to skills development identifying where we build, buy and borrow to protect the future of our business and critical skills and roles. Additionally ensuring that the approach to talent identification and management aligns to these future needs and providing a leadership development strategy that supports the role of a leader across the organisation. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Talent Acquisition & Development and will be an expert in differentiating capabilities in leadership, talent management, technical insurance skills, technology and data analytics is critical in creating a long term and sustainable business. This role is responsible for all technical and support functions, plus talent and leadership for the whole business, ensuring that Ageas implements a future focused skills, talent and leadership strategy. Main Responsibilities as Skills, Talent & Leadership Development Manager: Understand the company's objectives, priorities and future strategic workforce planning to create and deliver an efficient and effective skills, talent & leadership development strategy. Identify and implement opportunities for alignment, improvement and efficiencies in ways of working through the strategy, e.g. responding to changing demand for skills and leadership support Responsible for driving the performance management strategy, being a central lead for all activity and agreeing approach for the future linking with the desire to optimise performance through technology, training and comms Evaluate and review initiatives which fall into the skills, talent & leadership development strategy to ensure they deliver required learning outcomes and fit with Pride in Low Cost Responsible for ensuring initiatives within the strategy are communicated creatively and efficiently including any change management support required as part of a campaign Oversee the talent review processes, data analysis activities and development solutions including talent programmes and any career mobility programmes, ensuring ongoing evaluation and improvements are delivered aligned to the skills strategy Oversee the leadership development offering ensuring the delivery of Leadership Heroes and associated activities. Linking with Head of Talent Acquisition and Development and Ageas Group as appropriate to ensure all levels of leaders are provided with support ensuring ongoing evaluation and improvements are delivered aligned to the skills strategy Oversee talent & development account management for support functions, ensuring the team proactively support SME’s and development champions inc running TTT programme, and the team work with HRDBPs to ensure talent & succession action plans are followed through Delivers and tweaks required training for account areas including leadership particularly supporting WL5 development. Accountable for the overall technical development approach, apprenticeships, professional qualifications and education budget offering ensuring ongoing evaluation and improvements are delivered aligned to the skills strategy Actively contribute to the wider Talent Acquisition & Development strategy, ensuring alignment and clear lines of sight between activity. Knowledge skills & experience you will need as Skills, Talent & Leadership Development Manager: Seasoned professional with significant experience/exposure to critical disciplines of Talent & Development Successful track record of implementing strategic initiatives that have had a clear impact on the performance and effectiveness of an organisation with considerable proficiency in skills, talent & development within the financial services sector Experience in leading in future skills identification, leadership, talent identification and development initiatives Ability to analyse and understand data and information quickly. Uses information, insights and knowledge in a structured way, including systemic thinking, to identify options, make recommendations and make robust, defendable decisions Strong credibility, collaboration, stakeholder management and influencing skills Proactive, logical and common-sense approach, and an ability to think in a broader UK and global context Demonstrated strong awareness of future industry trends and commercial awareness; ability to translate into strategy and differentiating initiatives. Experience of leading and managing multiple projects within timescales and budgets. Leadership, mentoring and coaching skills to lead support, develop and advise others. Demonstrated ability in project management and change management Ability to prioritise and managed a varied range of activities Ability to work on own and with limited supervision. Clear and concise written and oral communication skills.
