Subject Lead for Religious Education\nSalary: MPS/UPS + TLR2\nLocation: Sheffield\nStart Date: September 2025\nContract Type: Permanent\n\nA large and well-respected secondary school in Sheffield is seeking a passionate and experienced Subject Lead for Religious Education (RE) to lead and shape the department’s future. This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented teacher to step into a leadership role and have a lasting impact on the RE curriculum and student engagement.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nLead and manage the RE department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.\nDevelop and implement an engaging and thought-provoking RE curriculum that promotes respect and understanding of different faiths and cultures.\nMonitor and evaluate student progress, identifying areas for improvement.\nSupport and mentor colleagues to promote excellent teaching practices.\nContribute to the wider school community and promote the values of the school.\nEssential Requirements:\n\nQualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Religious Education, Theology, or a related subject.\nProven experience of teaching RE across KS3 and KS4.\nStrong leadership and organisational skills with a passion for curriculum development.\nAbility to inspire and engage students from diverse backgrounds.\nFor immediate consideration, please apply directly to this advertisement with an up-to-date copy of your CV, highlighting relevant work experience and your contact details.\n\nAll applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
