SEN Teaching Assistant - Full-Time, Term-Time Only

Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Ringwood, Dorset
Hourly Rate: £11.72 - £12.78
Annual Salary: £20,941.30 - £22,835.30 (Term-Time Only)
Contract: Permanent, 40 hours per week, term-time only
About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support students aged 11-16 with special educational needs, including Autism. Your role involves assisting teachers in classroom activities and guiding students through practical, outdoor sessions like Bushcraft and life skills. You'll play a vital role in helping students achieve their academic, social, and personal milestones.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide tailored support to ensure the safety and well-being of students.
* Assist students in meeting their Education and Healthcare Plan (EHCP) goals.
* Implement and reinforce positive behaviour strategies adapted to individual needs.
* Keep accurate records of incidents, accidents, and health and safety issues.
* Encourage positive social interactions and collaboration among students.

* GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade 4 or equivalent) are preferred but not essential.
