Job summary The post holder will provide clinical and managerial leadership to the infection prevention and control team and the surveillance team. The post holder will also provide visible leadership to extended membership of the infection prevention and control service to ensure there is good clinical engagement and involvement to deliver the key objectives of the Trust. The role requires the post holder to support and work in collaboration with the Head / Deputy head of Infection Prevention and Control, the infection prevention and control team, the surveillance team and teams across the organisation and with external stakeholders to meet the Trust Infection Prevention and Control requirements within national and local frameworks. As a member of the corporate nursing team, the post holder will act as a professional role model to all nurses and midwives and will take corrective action to uphold the standards required of the Trust and the profession.
