About the role The QA POD Lead will provide leadership to a small-size quality assurance team of 2-3 QA engineers(called POD). The QA POD Lead will also be responsible for overseeing and managing quality assurance activities for software development projects within the procurement and B2B commerce domains. This role requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in quality assurance, test plan validation, and team management. The QA Lead will collaborate closely with development teams, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure all deliverables meet the highest quality standards. Roles and Responsibilities: Quality Assurance Management: Develop, review, and validate comprehensive test plans and strategies to ensure thorough testing of all functionalities. Lead the QA process for functional, integration, regression, and performance testing. Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the QA team, ensuring optimal performance and professional growth. Allocate resources, plan workloads, and oversee day-to-day team activities. Testing Oversight: Define and implement quality standards, procedures, and best practices. Conduct regular audits of test cases and QA processes to ensure adherence to requirements. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and business stakeholders, to align QA activities with business objectives. Escalate and resolve critical issues efficiently to maintain project timelines. Domain Expertise: Leverage extensive experience in procurement and B2B commerce to understand and address domain-specific quality challenges. Person: Experience : A minimum of 8 years of experience in quality assurance, with at least 5 years in the procurement or B2B commerce domains. Proven track record of managing QA teams and delivering high-quality results. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of QA tools, frameworks, and methodologies. Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, TestNG) and performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter). Familiarity with test management tools like JIRA or equivalent. Leadership and Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage QA teams effectively. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams. Attention to Detail: Ability to review and validate test plans, ensuring alignment with business requirements and test coverage. Preferred Skills: Knowledge of cloud-based testing environments and CI/CD pipelines. ISTQB or equivalent certification is an advantage. Deliverables: Comprehensive test plans reviewed and validated for all assigned projects. High-quality, defect-free deliverables achieved through rigorous QA processes. Effective management and mentorship of QA team members. Regular reports on QA activities, including test coverage, defect trends, and process improvements.
