Job Advert Role Description
We are looking for a PBS Practitioner to work at a newly opening home in Tonteg called Daffodil House

The PBS practitioner will work closely with the people we support, colleague teams and stakeholders to develop and deliver Positive Behaviour Support for individuals and services.
The post holder will use their expertise to support predominantly in the following areas:
1. Development and implementation of Positive Behaviour Support Plans including Functional Behaviour Assessment
2. Practice Leadership and Practice workshops
3. Incident support, analysis and colleague debrief
4. Staff training & development
The ideal candidate will:
5. Hold a formal qualification in: or Positive Behaviour Support i.e. BSc in Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, MSc Applied Behaviour Analysis, MA or MSc in Autism Studies, PBS Graduate Diploma, PBS BTEC Level 5 (advanced professional Diploma)
6. Be qualified or willing and able to work towards PROACT-SCIPr-UK® Instructor
In addition, the candidate will be able to demonstrate:
7. Person centred beliefs, values and attitude
8. Excellent communication skills
9. The ability to work as part of a team in a leadership capacity, leading and influencing others positively
10. An in depth understanding of the principals of Positive Behaviour Support and Principals of Applied Behaviour Analysis
11. A history in conducting behavioural assessment and developing, implementing and evaluating interventions for individuals
12. A history of direct support experience with people with a learning disability and/or Autism, and behaviours of concern
13. A history of reducing the use of restrictive practices
14. A history of the delivery of Positive Behaviour Support training
15. Excellent record keeping and written skills including report writing
16. Detailed understanding of the legal frameworks and policy relevant to the role, e.g. Mental Capacity Act (2005), DOLS, Safeguarding, risk management
